Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras, was shot and killed in the central business district on the afternoon of Tuesday.

Authorities reported the 40-year-old entertainer was confronted by three suspects, one of whom shot at him before running away.

Authorities said that Stock was attacked as he was departing from a location in the vicinity of the city center landmark.

"Authorities believe the man was approached by three unidentified men after he parked his car, and they began shooting at him before escaping on foot," authorities said.

Surveillance tape reportedly depicted a suspect with dreadlocked hair and wearing what appeared to be a protective services outfit firing shots on Stock before running away.

The DJ sought to escape after he was shot but succumbed to his injuries on the opposite side of the road.

It was further revealed that Stock had an weapon on his person and it was not a robbery during the assault.
